"Don't hurt people and don't take their stuff" - Matt Kibbe

Lafferites

There are many "Lafferites" in the world. They are people who have exhibited behavior that demonstrates that the Laffer Curve is more than an economic theory. We will never know the names of most of them, they number in the millions, at least.

Okay, I made that number up. But the truth is it is impossible to count them because most of them never make public the reasons for their personal or business decisions. They merely do what all humans do. That is to say, they act in what they perceive to be their own best interests.

So let's take this out of the theoretical realm and into the reality show genre that has become all the rage in the last few years. And although I'm not sure a reality series based on economic theory is a ratings winner, I figured what the heck, it can't be more boring than the stuff they put out there now.

Here is a short video by Dan Mitchell of the Cato Institute that explains what the Laffer Curve is, and isn't. And below the video is the list of those who have made it so far.

Here is the list of those we have discovered since the politicians in the US and elsewhere have decided to raise taxes on the wealthy in order to further their class envy strategy. After all, "Envy is the driving force of socialism." - Svetlana Kunin

This list was started on January 26th, 2013. Please help us keep it current by suggesting new entries we have missed. The links lead to stories about what they did to demonstrate the Laffer Curve.
